Where does your time go?

Time flies when you work hard, but you are not always productive—checking your emails, social media account, going to meetings, speaking on the phone. At the end of the day or week, it feels like you need more time. To remedy the situation, we must first know where the time goes.

To explore this, I now invite you to make a visual diagram.

Step 1: Divide your time into percentages and make a visual like the one below. Emails, social media, reading, meetings, etc. Write on this diagram how much time you spend on these.

What do you notice when you finalize the diagram?

Step 2: Now, create a new version below. The version that is ideal for you. How do you want to spend your time?

Step 3: Notice the difference between the two diagrams.

Step 4: Decide what three bold steps you can take to change how you spend your time.

Now, are you ready to take these steps?
